Delete your RedTinker account
For the RedTinker app and website, from Redtinker Technologies Private Limited.
How to delete your account
You can do it yourself, on the website or in the app:
- In the RedTinker app: open your profile, tap the settings icon, then Delete Account under “Danger Zone” and confirm.
- On the website: sign in at redtinker.com, open Settings, then Delete Account under “Danger Zone” and confirm.
- Cannot sign in? Email support@redtinker.com from the address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. A parent or guardian can ask for the account of someone under 18 to be closed in the same way.
What happens, and when
- Right away: your account is closed. Your profile, posts and activity stop being visible to anyone, you are signed out everywhere, and a paid plan bought on the website is cancelled at the end of the period you paid for.
- For 90 days: nothing is erased yet, so you can change your mind. Sign in again within 90 days and everything comes back.
- After 90 days: your personal data is removed for good, as listed below.
A subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store is managed there. Deleting your RedTinker account does not cancel it, so cancel it in your store’s subscriptions first.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, sign-in details (including Google and Apple sign-in links), photo, bio, interests and handle
- All your learning paths, lessons, practice and exam attempts, interview rounds, language practice, notebooks and homework
- Your AI chat history and what RedTinker remembered about you to personalise your learning
- Your notifications and the device tokens used to send them
- Who you follow and who follows you, your likes and reposts, and your club memberships
What is kept, and for how long
- Payment, invoice and refund records. The law requires us to keep tax records, so these stay for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. An invoice keeps the billing name and address you gave when you paid, because that is what a tax invoice has to show. Your account itself no longer carries your name or email.
- Posts and comments in clubs. They stay so other people’s conversations still make sense, but they are shown as “Deleted user” and are no longer linked to you.
Routine backups kept by our database provider may hold a copy of removed data for a short period after the deletion. They are not used to bring an account back.
